Born on 22 May 1989, in California and named Alexis Liela Afshar, after her paternal grandmother, Leila Kasra Afshar who was a songwriter, producer, and poet during the 60’s and 70’s. She is of Iranian descent, her grandmother moved to the United States with her father after the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and died of breast cancer in 1989.

Her’s is a talented family with father, Tony Panterra, a former professional motocross racer and world-class hot rod builder, mother, Elizabeth, who is in arts, an uncle, Alex Rodd, a 17-time world champion drag racer as well as a producer and step-cousins who twerk and introduced her to it at the age of 12. Little wonder she is so talented and skilled. Her father taught her racing and adventurous riding while her mother sparked her interest in music and dancing.

She spent her early years moving in between her father in Los Angeles and mother in Sacramento. Lexy has three elder brothers and is of white ethnicity and American nationality.

She is best known for her exercise program, LexTwerkOut which she founded in January 2014 and a YouTube Channel with the same name which has over 13 million subscribers and still counting. The concept of her exercise routine is to combine twerking with fitness and to create a workout that is just as effective as traditional cardio and squatting while empowering people to look sexy and confident. She promotes her show through the LexTwerkOut app as well.

She has her own school where she teaches young people to dance and gives them lessons in the basic dancing styles. Lexy is active on social networks and has more than 50,000 followers on Twitter and more than 80,000 on Vine. Her Facebook page boasts of more than 180,000 followers.

She made headlines in 2015 after collaborating with Playboy magazine in the Twerking Through History video. Lexy does not only dance and does fitness programs, she is also into music. Her career in music started in 2012 when she shot an album with an Eastern European group and s released her debut single, Lit, on October 5, 2015. Lexy participated in her first beauty pageant and won when she was just five. Being born into a family where speed is the norm, she started racing motorcycles at 8 and had her first race at Los Angeles County Raceway. Being a niece to a 17-time world champion drag racer, she won most of her races but had to stop at the age of 11 following her father’s injury during a motocross race. This did not stop her love for races in any way as she spends her weekends at the racetracks even though she does not participate, with her dad.

Two years later, in August 2017, Lexy began a relationship with another actor, Gregg Sulkin, who is a 25-year-old British actor and the ex-boyfriend of the actress, Bella Thorne from 2015-2016.
