Lorenza Izzo is a Chilean-born TV and film actress and model. As an actress, Izzo has really cut her teeth in the horror film genre. She is well known for her role as Kylie in the Chilean-American disaster horror film Aftershock. She also had a starring role as Justine in the cannibal horror film, The Green Inferno and also starred in the erotic horror thriller Knock, Knock alongside . She has also recorded a number of acting credits in other non-horror genres.

Biography of Lorenza Izzo

She was born Lorenza Francesca Izzo Parsons on September 19, 1989, in Las Condes, Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile. As a young teenager, Lorenza moved to the US with her family. She later returned to Chile at the age of 16 where she completed her high school education.

At the age of 18, Lorenza Izzo enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York where she studied acting for a brief period. She later enrolled to study journalism at The University of the Andes in her home country of Chile. In 2010, she starred in a Chilean Indie film as part of her final year project. Thanks to her love for fashion, Lorenza later enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to study design.

In 2011, at the peak of her modeling career, Lorenza Izzo featured in the São Paulo Fashion Week alongside her mother Rosita Parsons. The model-actress then starred as Lucia Edwards in the 2011 Chilean romantic comedy film Qué pena tu boda which was the highest grossing Chilean movie of the year. The following year, she reprised her role in the film’s sequel Qué pena tu familia.

Aftershock (2012) and The Green Inferno (2013) were her next movie projects after which she relocated fully to Los Angeles. In 2013, she landed a guest spot in the Netflix horror series Hemlock Grove and she also appeared in the telefilm I Am Victor. In 2014, the multitalented actress took a break from the horror genre as she starred in the romantic comedy film Sex Ed.

Lorenza Izzo also played the female lead character Genesis in the 2015 erotic horror film Knock Knock, a remake of the 1977 horror-thriller Death Game. Initially, she was given a small role in Knock, Knock because the producers assumed that she could not speak English. However, she was later given the female lead role after they realized that she could also speak English without an accent.

In 2016, she was cast in the main role of Pilar Herrera in the crime drama series Feed the Beast. She also starred in the horror film Holidays (2016). In 2018, Lorenza Izzo was cast in the fantasy horror comedy The House with a Clock in Its Walls alongside A-listers and .

Family Life of The Movie Actress and Model

Lorenza Izzo is the daughter of Rosita Parsons who was a well-known former model in Chile. At the tender age of 2 weeks, Lorenza marked her first magazine feature as she graced the cover of a Chilean magazine with her mother. At age 12, the family moved to Atlanta where her father was studying for his doctorate degree at Georgia Tech. However, her parents later got divorced when she was 16. She was raised alongside one sibling, a younger sister named Clara Lyon. She is also the niece of international Chilean model and actress Carolina Parsons.

Lorenza Izzo is married to American actor-director-producer Eli Roth. The duo has worked together on several movies since 2012 including Aftershock and The Green Inferno. However, they got much closer in 2014 while filming the horror film Knock, Knock, which had Roth as the director. According to the actress, they bonded during the shooting period of the film and tied the knot on November 8, 2014, in a ceremony held at the Beach of Zapallar in the Valparaíso Region of Chile followed by a reception at the Cachagua Polo Club.

At age 15, Lorenzo Izzo marked her runway debut for award-winning Chilean designer Ruben Campos.

Following a meeting with international supermodel at the 2011 São Paulo Fashion Week, Lorenza Izzo was booked for an ad campaign for the Brazillian fashion company Colcci.

Lorenza Izzo had a near-death experience while filming the 2013 horror film The Green Inferno. Things took an almost tragic turn as the actress nearly got drowned while shooting a scene in the Amazon River. Fortunately, she got rescued by the stunt supervisor who discerned that she was no longer acting but actually screaming for her life.

In May 2018, Lorenza Izzo graced the cover of Harper’s Magazine (Chile) alongside her gorgeous mother Rosita Parsons, her sister Clara Lyon and niece Carolina Parsons.
