Stephanie Allynne is an American actress, writer, and comedienne. She was born on September 19, 1986, in Claremont, California. Her family later moved to New York, Buffalo precisely, where she lived for a while before eventually moving to the city of Los Angeles when she attained the legal age. She still resides in the Californian city till this day.

Stephanie studied at Hugh School and afterward went on to study English Literature at Howard University. At Howard, she got her Bachelor of Arts Degree.

In 2012, Stephanie Allynne starred in her debut film playing the role of Paige in the short film Tomorrow. Between her film debut year and the following year, she starred in a couple of other short films such as In a World… as Nancy, in Turkey Day as Jane, in K.I.T as C.J., in Gregory Go Boom as Willie, in The Boyfriend Experience: Girls and Ribs as James’s GF; and in Librarians as Lisa.

She has also starred in TV shows such as USB Comedy Originals, Funny or Die, The Midnight Show, Key, and People, Happy Endings, Up All Night, 2 Broke Girls, Comedy Bang! Bang!, The Birthday Boys, Guy Code, One Mississippi, Twin Peaks, Love, Room 104 and Dream Corp, LLC.

Allynne wrote the Amazon TV series One Mississippi, where she co-starred with Tig Notaro. The TV show is a semi-autobiography of the life of Stephanie and her lesbian partner. In the series, Stephanie was cast as Kate in 10 of 12 episodes released.

Stephanie Allynne is married to Tig Notaro, an American comedian, actress and podcast presenter. She was born as Mathilde O’Callaghan Notaro on March 24, 1971, in Jackson, Mississippi. Tig wasn’t a lover of school, she dropped out of high school after failing three grades. She later got her GED in 1990, while residing in Texas. Her name “Tig” was given as a nickname when she was a toddler by her elder brother Renaud Notaro. She has since adopted the name and is now popularly known by it.

As an actress, Tig has starred in a host of films and TV shows such as The Tig Series, In a World…, Punching Henry, Dog Days, Instant Family, In the Motherhood, One Mississippi and Star Trek: Discovery.
