If you love movie plots that are infused with a lot of love stories, then perhaps you loved One Tree Hill when it was all the rage. Michaela McManus played the role of Lindsey Strauss in the final two seasons of the series. This still stands as one of the most successful roles in her career.

Michaela McManus – Biography

The actress was born in the town of Warwick, in Kent County, Rhode Island, on May 20, 1983. Her father is James “Jim” McManus, and her mother is Patricia McManus. There is no information revealing whether she has siblings or if she is an only child.

For her education, Michaela had her high school education at Toll Gate High School, in her home town of Warwick. She graduated in 2001. McManus enrolled at Fordham University, in New York City. She subsequently went through the graduate acting program at New York University, then relocated to Los Angeles to start an acting career.

Michaela has also started her own family with her husband Mike Daniels. Both work in the same industry, as Mike makes a living as a writer and producer. He has done writing and production work on projects like Sons of Anarchy, Shades of Blue, and Taken among others.

The couple tied the knot on July 3, 2011. Their first child, a son, arrived on April 3, 2014. They named him Gabriel October Daniels. Michaela McManus became a mother of two with the arrival of their second child, Declan Griffith Daniels in September 2016.

Her acting pedigree continued to grow as over the next few years, she made appearances in a few prime time series. Some of them include Castle, CSI: Miami, and Hawaii Five-0, all before 2012. In 2010 and 2011, she appeared as Jules in The CW series, Vampire Diaries. Her role on the show lasted for six episodes.

Michaela McManus played Tara in NBC’s Awake for 13 episodes. She followed that up with a recurring role as Noelle Saris on Necessary Roughness in 2012 and 2013. In 2015, she played a major role as Kaley in the movie Into the Grizzly and was Rose on the short film Not Right Now. Finally, to round up the year, she started work on the series Aquarius portraying Grace Karn. The role lasted for 21 episodes, ending sometime in 2016.

The Warwick native has continued to grow her portfolio with roles in series like Threadbare (2017), The Magicians (2018), and Orville (2017–2019). She was also involved in a supporting role on the series SEAL. She was the character Alana Hayes for ten episodes from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, she was brought on as part of the cast of The Village, where she was given the role of Sarah Campbell on the series.
