Michelle Marie Pfeiffer was born on the 29th day of April 1958 in Santa Ana, California to Richard Pfeiffer and his wife Donna (née Taverna). Her father was a heating and air-conditioning contractor while her mother was a housewife. Pfeiffer was raised by her parents in Midway City. Her siblings include older brother Rick, and two younger sisters Dedee Pfeiffer and Lori Pfeiffer. Dedee is equally an actress but in 2010, she put her acting career on hold to pursue a career as a forensic psychologist.

Michelle Pfeiffer, in 1976, graduated from Fountain Valley High School and proceeded to Golden West College. She was training to become a court stenographer when she decided upon an acting career. After winning the Miss Orange County beauty pageant in 1978, Pfeiffer got herself an agent and began auditioning for film roles.

She got her debut in a 1978 episode of the TV series, Fantasy Island. Her first film role was in The Hollywood Knights (1980). Pfeiffer was propelled to widespread recognition, thanks to her role in Grease 2 for which she earned a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Young Actress. She also received acclaim for Scarface (1983).

Michelle Pfeiffer stepped up to a greater level of stardom with her role in The Witches of Eastwick (1987). Michelle Pfeiffer’s husband is David E. Kelley the TV writer and producer. The couple was married on the 13th of November 1993. Though it was the first time Kelley was exchanging marital vows, it was Pfeiffer’s second time walking down the aisle – she was married to fellow actor, Peter Horton for almost 10 years from 1981 to 1990.

Pfeiffer, in January 1993, was set up with her husband through a blind date by their mutual friend Kate Guinzburg. Pfeiffer and Kelley liked each other from the first time they met and didn’t hesitate to arrange another date which was at the movies where they went to watch Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Their relationship waxed stronger and before the end of 1993, they tied the knot.
