The outstanding pianist, Milos Mihajlovic, was born on the 1st day of June 1978 and his birth took place in the Niš City of Serbia. Niš is popular for being the third largest and one of the oldest cities of Serbia. There is a dearth of information regarding his childhood, parents, and family. However, it is already known that he grew up in the city in which he was born.

Regarding his education, the pianist is an alumnus of Faculty of Music, the University of Art in Belgrade, Serbia. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in 1999 majoring in piano. Soon after his graduation, Mihajlovic decided to study further, hence acquiring his postgraduate diploma from the same institution in 2005.

With his specialty as piano, the music icon was trained by an eminent Serbian pianist and music professor, Nevena Popović. He also studied with notable pianists such as Michel Dalberto and Sergei Dorensky. As a student, he also won two awards including Emil Hajek Award for Most Talented Young Pianist and the Olga Mihailovic Fund for Most Perspective Young Pianist. 1. Early Career

Soon after his graduation from the Faculty of Music, Milos Mihajlovic began his professional career. As a talented pianist, he has played extensively at different events and competitions. Amazingly, he performs both as a soloist as well as a recitalist. He has played in major concert halls in Serbia including the Great Hall of the IIija M. Kolarac Endowment, Belgrade and at the Gallery of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. In the international scene, Mihajlovic has traveled far and wide and has performed in several countries including Poland, Greece, Australia, Italy, Spain, and more.

Additionally, the talented pianist has equally done some collaborative works with eminent musicians including Biljana Radovanović, Yuri Bashmet, Mladen Jagušt, Angel Šurev, Darinka Matić Marović, Uroš Lajovic, and Anatolij Novicki.

2. Awards and Recognitions

Since the inception of his career as a pianist, Milos Mihajlovic has won a series of awards, both in local and international competitions. In 2009, he received three awards including the First Prize at the International Piano Competition held in Southern Highlands, Sydney, Australia. He also won the Award for the best interpretation of Chopin’s composition in 1999 at Grand Konzerteum held in Greece. Before that, he clinched the First prize at the 1997 Peter Konjovic International competition held in Belgrade Serbia. In addition, he also got the First Prize at the 1996 Frederyk Chopin Young Pianists Competition held in Rome, Italy, among many others.

3. Teaching Career

After his graduation from the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade, the music icon decided to give back to society by becoming a music teacher. He was named an assistant music teacher at the Faculty of Music, Piano Division in 2001. A post he held until 2005. Following his impressive performances, he was elevated to the position of Docent, an academic title between assistant professor and full professorship in 2005. Since 2014, he has been working as an associate professor in the institution. Asides the university, Milos Mihajlovic has equally lectured at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka city of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
