Miranda Cosgrove is a multitalented American actress, singer and songwriter. As a child, she began appearing in TV adverts for big brands such as Burger King and McDonald’s. In 2003, then 10-year old, Cosgrove made her big screen debut with a bang starring as Summer Hathaway in School of Rock. Miranda Taylor Cosgrove was born on May 14, 1993, to Christina (née Casey) and Tom Cosgrove. She is her parents only child. Starting from 6th grade, she was homeschooled which proved convenient for her budding acting career.

The highly gorgeous actress made her TV debut way back in 2001 when she lent her voice to a 5-year old character Lana Lang in the pilot episode of Smallville (2001). She auditioned for several other roles before eventually landing one in the comedy hit School of Rock, starring alongside School of Rock was a box office hit, grossing over $131,000,000 worldwide. The movie remained the highest grossing music-themed comedy of all time until 2015 when it was surpassed by Pitch Perfect 2.
