The sitcom starred many talented Hollywood actors and actresses to play both major and recurring roles. Arica Himmel portrayed the teenage version of Rainbow Johnson while Tracee Ellis Ross played the adult Rainbow Johnson. is given the role of Rainbow’s mother, Alicia Johnson.
Rainbow’s father character, Paul Johnson, is portrayed by while Gary Cole is given the role of Harrison Jackson III, Rainbow’s Grandfather.
