Myla Dalbesio is an American professional model, photographer, and visual artist. Her modeling portfolio includes campaigns for some of the worlds top brands including Calvin Klein, Levi’s, H&M, Coach, Abercrombie & Fitch and Prima Donna Lingerie among others. She has been featured on the covers or editorials of such magazines as Playboy, Lady magazine, Oyster, Elle, Vogue, Twin and LOVE amongst others.

Dalbesio was featured on the cover of Playboy magazine’s first non-nude issue in 2014. As a model, she is represented by Next Model Management, MP Mega Miami and Francina. She was Prima Donna Lingerie face and brand ambassador for 2016 and 2017.

Bio

Myla Dalbesio was born on June 26, 1986, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Her mother struggled with breast cancer for 5 years and eventually passed away. Dalbesio was very young when she lost her mother, but she has an older sister who owns and runs a dance studio. While in high school, she helped her sister teach modern dance, jazz, and ballet classes.

She won the Miss Wisconsin Teen USA crown in 2004 at the age of sixteen. A modeling scout soon attempted to get her a contract with modeling agencies but she was turned down, the excuse being that she was not a regular size. The Ford Modeling Agency ultimately signed her as a plus-size model when she turned 18.

In 2014, Myla Dalbesio was selected for a Calvin Klein underwear campaign Perfect Fit. That same year she was featured on the cover of Lady Magazine. She is often touted as a plus-size model and this has created some controversy and debate. She contends that while she is not a regular straight size model, she is not a plus size either but should fall somewhere in between.

In 2015, her career made significant inroads into mainstream ratings when Models.com placed her on its HOT List which features a ranking of upcoming modeling stars. She also appeared on Maxim Magazine’s HOT 100 the same year. In 2015, she appeared on the covers of Glamour Iceland Magazine, Madame Magazine, Lifestyle Magazine, Suited Magazine, Feeling Magazine and P Magazine. Her magazine editorial appearances include Twin, Purple, Oyster, Elle France, Dazed & Confused, Viva Moda, Elle Italia, Bon and Lui magazines.

She curated an art show in 2016 with the title You Can Call Me Baby for SPRING/BREAK fair in New York. It was an all-female show with the goal of reclaiming symbols that have been used traditionally to undermine women. The show earned a lot of positive reviews from critics including Paddy Johnson and Jerry Saltz.
