Though Nathan has a history of being a good pitcher, a surgery he had and his subsequent rehabilitation during recovery saw him plummet sort of in form.

Nathan Eovaldi’s Biography

The baseballer was born on the 13th of February 1990 in Alvin, Texas where he also had much of his growing up. Nathan Eovaldi attended Alvin High School in Alvin, Texas, and as you can easily infer, he actively played baseball for his school team. In the course of time, he graduated and proceeded to Texas A&M University on a baseball scholarship which came as a recognition of his impressive pitching abilities in high school.

However, he turned down the scholarship when he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft. Following his signing with the team, he got a $250,000 signing bonus and began working his way up to the main team through the lower leagues.

The pitcher played in the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League for Gulf Coast Dodgers in 2008, Great Lakes Loons which plays in the Class A Midwest League in 2009 while the years 2010 and 2011 saw him play for the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino in the Class A-Advanced California League and Chattanooga Lookouts in the Class AA Southern League respectively.

Following his impressive form in the lower leagues, Nathan earned a place in the main team to play in the MLB. He had his debut against the Arizona Diamondbacks putting in an impressive performance he maintained throughout the season. He played out his career with the Diamondbacks before being traded in 2012 to the Miami Marlins.

Nathan Eovaldi joined his new team in July 2012 and true to his nature, he hit the ground running with a win in his first game against the San Diego Padres. The pitcher who bats and throws with his right hand recorded a career-high 33 games started by his last season (2014) with the Marlins. Following this, the New York Yankees came calling for his services as the Miami Marlins traded him off to get David Phelps and Martin Prado.

He made his debut in the colors of the Yankees in April 2015 in a match which ended in a loss against his eventual team – the Boston Red Sox. Nevertheless, he improved his games and delivered impressive results for his team albeit picking up a couple of injuries along the line. Eovaldi had an elbow inflammation in September 2015 and missed much of the 2016 season games due to a torn flexor tendon and partially-torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. For this, the pitcher had a Tommy John surgery to correct the injury but by November of the same year, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Coming over to the Rays with a one year contract which had an option of an extension, the Alvin born pitcher missed the entire 2017 season due to his recovery from surgery but still got his 2018 option exercised. However, for the loose bodies on his elbow which he got diagnosed of in March 2018, the Rays thought it best to trade him off to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for Jalen Beeks. So far, Nathan’s time with the Red Sox has seen his career turn around for good.

Nathan’s career has been a rewarding one, his latest signing see’s him pocket about $2 million annually as his average salary with an adjusted salary of $731,204. Though we don’t know his current net worth, we can infer that it will be running into millions of US dollars.

Throughout his career in the MLB, Eovaldi who has played for quite a handful of teams has a career stat of 636 strikeouts with a 4.17 earned run average. His win-loss record is put at 44-53. Being that he has revived his career, we expect Nathan Eovaldi’s stats to improve significantly.

Family – Girlfriend, Wife

For female fans of the pitcher who might have a crush on him hoping that he is single, Nathan is off the single’s market as he is happily married to Rebekah Eovaldi with whom he shares one child. The couple tied the knot and got pronounced husband and wife sometime in the year 2011. By June 2014, she gave birth to their son.

Being that Mrs. Eovaldi keeps a low profile, nothing is known about the pitcher’s family other than what his wife’s name is and that they have a son. Nevertheless, we believe that their family will be a happy one with no major squabble in the public domain between them.
