Anna Lunoe – Bio, Age

It is not clear what year she was born but her birth date is May 26th. She came into the world in Sydney, Australia. The DJ’s musical influences growing up are diverse. She started writing songs to the play of her acoustic guitar and was playing the piano at a young age. Initially, the Australian born music lover had her sights set on a career as a singer. But along the line, she fell in love with the art of DJing and gradually transitioned to creating beats and music in favor of singing them.

Her first job out of school was at a youth-oriented radio station, FBi Radio in her native Australia. She made history while with the station as the first woman to curate CDs for the popular Ministry of Sound on their Clubber Guide Mix. During her time collaborating with Ministry of Sound, Anna Lunoe produced a total of three compilations. All were massive successes and culminated in all three CDs peaking at the top of several internet dance charts and eventually going gold.

By the turn of the year 2012, Anna had decided she was done working for others. Owing to this decision, she relocated to Los Angeles to start building her own brand and career. In the same year, she released Anna Lunoe & Friends, her first EDM EP. The album featured hit names like Flume and Touch Sensitive.

The song she did with the latter “Real Talk” sat at the top of the Beatport Indie Dance Chart rankings for four consecutive months. Her song with Flume ‘I Met You’ has garnered millions of views on Youtube since its release. Two years after the release of her debut EP, Anna Lunoe’s song ‘Bass Drum Dealer’, was selected by American DJ Skrillex as one of the tracks to be released on his Nest Imprint. She also released ‘Feels Like’, a collaborative alongside British DJ and producer, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinasours.

Following this, Lunoe went on a tour with and it lasted for 2 months and covered many US cities. She then released All Out, her fourth EP which was also well received like the ones before. It debuted on the iTunes Dance Chart in fourth place. Since then, the DJ has gone on to release numerous other collaboratives. Some of the most popular include ‘Stomper’ with producer Chris Lake, ‘Pusher’ with Sleepy Tom, and ‘Me & U’ with Tommy Trash. Some of her most recent works include ‘Radioactive’, ‘Godzilla’, ‘Bullseye’, ‘Blaze of Glory’, and ‘303’.

In 2016, with her growing brand, fan base and her continued performance as a DJ on premium stages, it only made sense for the DJ to start her own touring and music brand, HYPERHOUSE. She kicked this off with her own radio show “Anna Luneo Presents: HyperHouse“. The radio show is a weekly programme airing on Beats 1 Radio. The show’s time slot sees it broadcast every Friday to over 100 countries.

Anna Lunoe’s Family

Not much is known about the identity of Anna’s family. Her parents were supporters of her ambition from the beginning. Although her mother was confused about what a DJ was at first, she never objected to her dreams as long as she could make a living off it.

Anna is the last child and second daughter of her parents. She was born at least sixteen years after her immediate elder sibling. She was influenced by music at a very young age by her brothers and father who were all musicians and had their own little troupe. They were always playing in the garage while Anna would sit at a corner and watch them while she sang along. She learned music primarily to be able to fit in with her brothers’ friends and also because she had become addicted to the art form.

The DJ is married to Marc Hendrick, with whom she welcomed their first child, a daughter named Willa in August 2017.
