She was reportedly raised in her birthplace by her parents alongside her sibling, Betty Jean Coleman (sister) who shares the same name with their mother – Betty Jean Coleman. On the other hand, there haven’t been much mention of their father and the role he played in the lives of his daughters.

While she was growing up, Porschla Coleman studied at Millikan Middle School in Sherman Oaks, California where she took a Performing Arts course while there. Afterward, she proceeded to Hollywood High School and also studied Performing Arts and while doing this, she kick-started her career as a musician in 2001.

Porschla Coleman is married to Jason Kidd but before she came into Jason’s life as the apple of his eyes, he was previously married [begining in 1997] to a woman who goes by the name Joumana. Their marriage became turbulent after some time and though it seemed they will pull through, Jason Kidd divorced her in 2007. His reasons for wanting to opt out of the union were paranoia, intense jealousy and threat of “false domestic abuse claims”. Joumana followed up by filing a counterclaim for divorce citing abuse. The court later granted their wish and they became the divorced parents of their 3 children: Trey Jason, and twins Miah and Jazelle.

After this divorce, Porschla Coleman and Jason Kidd met and in 2008 began a relationship that lasted for about three years before they got married. The duo got pronounced husband and wife on the 10th of September 2011. They had their first child and son named Chance Kidd on the 24th of January 2010. He was followed by their daughter Noah Grace Kidd in 2012 before Cooper Anne Kidd was born on 19 November 2017. Their family also consist of the kids from Jason’s previous marriage.
