He was born Rich Adam Kleiman on November 27, 1977, in New York. He was born into the family of Kenneth and Jill Kleiman. His father, Kenneth worked as an interior decorator and vice president of sales at a New York-based dealer in office furniture while his mother was a professional leasing broker agent at Williams Real Estate. From this, it is safe to say that Rich grew up in a family that valued hard work which would rub off on him.
For his education, he went to high school at Ethical Culture Fieldston School. He won a scholarship to study at Boston University but later dropped out to follow his passion.
