Currently, there is a deficit of relevant information on his family background but records have it that his family is Jewish and his grandparents (paternal) named Lena and Jacob Moranis went to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as Russian-Jewish immigrants and later moved on to Canada. Rick’s mom is of Jewish and Polish ancestry.
