Retired American actress Scarlett Pomers has no doubt left her footprints in the sands of Hollywood time, thanks to roles in hugely successful TV shows like Star Trek: Voyager and Reba. In recent years, Pomers has moved on to other things and is enjoying her life off the glitz and glam of Hollywood. On the 28th day of November 1988, Scarlett Noel Pomers was born in Riverside, California. Young Pomers was a music lover, the hard rock being her favorite genre. One evening while 3-year-old Pomers went shopping with her mom at a local mall, a talent agent spotted her and suggested to her mother that she took acting classes.

Her mother yielded to the agent’s opinion and Pomers began auditioning for commercial roles. It didn’t take long before Scarlett landed what would be her first ever break. It was a role in the music video for ‘s Heal the World. She couldn’t have hoped for a better start. After the video dropped, Scarlett Pomers scored one commercial role after the other. She would go on to appear in over 40 commercials.

At 5 years old, Pomers began appearing in both TV shows and films. Her debut big screen role came in the comedy-drama film, The Baby-Sitters Club. She then scored parts in TV shows like Touched by an Angel, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, and more.

Scarlett Pomers got her first major TV role in Star Trek: Voyager, where she played Naomi Wildman. She earned a Young Artists Award for her role. On the big screen, she had roles in Mighty Joe Young, Happy, Texas, and Erin Brockovich. Right after her role in Star Trek came to an end, Pomers scored yet another major role in Reba. Her role as Kyra Hart was the younger daughter of the titular character.

While on Reba, the pressure of child stardom began to take its toll on Pomers’ health. She was diagnosed with anorexia in late 2005 and asked to take a break from Reba in order to get her health sorted. Fortunately, Pomers was able to get treated as she fully recovered and was back on Reba‘s set to complete the 6th season which was the show’s last.

Her experience with the eating disorder inspired her to start an organization called Arch-Angels which generates fund to help anorexic patients who can’t afford treatment. She also became a voice for the National Eating Disorders Association.
