She, however, celebrates her birth on May 12th and there are claims that she was born in 1978, in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. She belongs to an African-American ethnicity but details about her birth family and possible siblings are not known.

Sharon Reed completed the necessary academic requirements in her formative years, although the names of the institutions she attended have not been shared with the public. For her tertiary education, she attended Georgetown University, in Washington, D.C. where she majored in English and Government and proceed to the Northwestern Univerity for her master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.
