Her place of birth is a county-level town in the Hunan Province of China called Wugang which makes her a Chinese national with Han Chinese ethnicity. She was born on the 27th of February in 1997 but information on her early years and family life is not readily available. It is common knowledge, however, that she was brought up in a middle-class family, with her dad earning a living at Wugang No. 1 Middle School as a history teacher.

She accomplished her early education at the same school her dad taught and later proceeded to Hunan Normal University where she graduated from with a major in Journalism and Communication, she did her internship at Hunan Satellite. Right from her early years, she has always exhibited a healthy dose of interest in photography and the opportunity to develop that particular interest came during her sophomore year when she worked with several photographers. Her big break came in 2017 on the set of A Love so Beautiful – a campus romance drama which cast her as the female lead Xiao Xi.

The actress’ 2018 leading role on the Meteor Garden series brought her to another level of fame. She is set to appear in Another Me – a television drama.
