Sherry Jackson Biography (Age)

Actress Sherry Jackson is the daughter of Curtis Loys Jackson and Maurita Kathleen Gilbert. She was born on February 15, 1942, in Wendell, Idaho, the U.S.A, which makes her an American citizen and a Native American by ancestry.

The actress is also a sister to Curtis and Maurita’s three sons – Gary L. Jackson, Robert Jackson, and Curtis L. Jackson, Jr. Sherry and her family moved to California shortly after her father died in 1948.

Regarding her educational background, there is no information on it but it’s believed that Jackson completed her elementary, secondary, and college education levels.

Is She Married or Single?

The former child star is currently single and could get married someday regardless of her age. Nevertheless, she has been linked to many men and top celebrities.

A look at Jackson’s dating timeline shows she has been in relationships with John Rockwell (1960), Gary Clarke (1961), Dwayne Hickman (1960), Troy Donahue (the pair dated in the 1960s), Rod Lauren, Bobby Rydell, Ralph Taeger (1962), Chad Everett, Fletcher R. Jones (a business executive and horse breeder).

Sherry and Jone’s relationship began in 1967 and ended on November 7, 1972, after the latter died in a plane crash in Santa Barbara County, California.

Jackson filed a suit against her lover’s estate five months after he died in the plane crash, requesting for more than $1 million. Her legal representatives claimed Jones had promised to give her $25,000 annually for the rest of her life. However, the actress’ litigation came out unsuccessful.

Ever since her blissful five-year relationship with Jones came to an end, the veteran actress has not been in any known relationship to date. She could possibly be single at the moment.

Where Is She Now?

Jackson’s biggest shock in life must be Fletcher’s tragic death in 1972. Considering how close the pair was before the businessman’s death, it would be fair to say that they would have settled down as husband and wife and also made babies.

Ever since Sherry came over the 1972 tragedy, she never made any public appearance with a man neither was there any report about her dating a man secretly. It appears she loves Jones so much that she decided to mourn him her entire life.

Truth is, nothing could be more devastating than having such an ugly experience on the pages of one’s life journey and Sherry, being a strong woman in real life too, seems to have dropped the ugly memories with the past, coming out stronger and better than many imagined.

As for where the actress is now, she is still alive and very much around. She is currently spending her old age at her Los Angeles home. In a recent interview conducted at her home, she admitted to almost dying from pneumonia.

According to the former child star, she was hospitalized for two months and was bedridden for four months. The sickness led to her losing her voice, dropping 30 pounds and then using a wheelchair and walker.

Although Jackson was sidelined for several years due to illness but eventually improved after a long period, her last attempt to attend the Star Trek convention in Las Vegas was thwarted by a popular guest at film and TV convention, who forced her to withdraw.
