It was on February 4, 1978, in the United States that Shimon Prokupecz was born. Although it is known that he was brought up in Brooklyn, New York, there is nothing significantly known about his parent or if he has any siblings or even his childhood.

He happens to be quite close to his mother whose picture he has shared on social media. He once shared a picture of his grandfather on Instagram, celebrating him on Veterans Day.

For his education, after he was through with high school, Shimon Prokupecz proceeded to Hunter College in New York where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

After his graduation from college, Prokupecz first took a paralegal job in the office of the Brooklyn District Attorney. He continued this work for a while before he decided to switch his interest to journalism. His first work was with the ABC television network-affiliated WABC-TV where he worked as an assignment editor. It didn’t take him too long there to prove himself and so he moved to NBC television network’s WNBC; this time around, he worked as a producer.

In 2013, he started working as a justice producer with CNN in Washington, D.C. He was there for some time before he moved to New York where he worked at the network’s bureau. His beat here included the FBI, New York Police Department, and all the other law enforcement agencies in the entire Northeast U.S.

By 2017, he was back to the network’s bureau in Washington continuing as a crime and justice reporter. He has worked on a lot of things including the investigations into the Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections. He has also worked on things like the wiretapping claims of US President Donald Trump, the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, and the 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting.
