On July 31, 1989, in the northeastern city of Fes, Morocco, Sofia Pernas was born. She is a Moroccan by nationality and belongs to a mixed ethnicity. Raised by parents from different ethnic backgrounds, Sofia had the privilege of being multilingual. Arabic, English, Spanish and German are the four languages she has great command in and who knows the next one she might add to that cache. Her early years as a toddler were mostly spent with her family in her home country but they later relocated. The move saw Sofia in the United States of America, Orange County to be precise. She was just five when her folks immigrated and she subsequently grew up there.

Details about her educational background have not been made available but we gathered that the Morrocan beauty had her mind set on a career in journalism and was probably working towards actualising that dream when a twist of fate saw her veer off to another direction. This was after her encounter with a talent agent who spotted the potentials that were innate in her and set out to tap into it. Afterwards, Sofia started exploring her talent in the modelling and acting world.

The new career path prompted her to move to Los Angeles where there are more opportunities. Like a shooting star, Sofia Pernas skyrocketed to prominent fame through her role as Marisa Sierras on the series The Young & The Restless. She joined the cast of the long-running soap opera in 2015 and appeared in eight episodes. She also played roles in a couple of feature films and the CW series, Jane the Virgin as Catalina from 2016 to 2017. He most recent appearance is as Hannah in The Brave. She has been on the role which she portrays as a member of the Defense Intelligence Agency in the NBC series since 2017.
