This fitness icon was born on the 24th of May, 1985 in Brasilia, Brazil where she was also raised. Growing up, Sue Lasmar was not the one to take to athletics even for the least health benefit it could offer. She was, as a matter of fact, not interested in “stressing” her body. However, when she found herself overweight, because of her unhealthy lifestyle, athletics and a comprehensive diet plan became her go-to solution.
Then aged 19, Sue Lasmar knew that at that point in her life if she must live healthily, she must be willing to make the necessary changes, even if it means stressing her body. Thus, to transform her body and attain her desired physique, she started out on a fitness journey which includes training rigorously 5 days a week and following a strict diet.
One interesting thing about her was that she did not wallow in self-pity because of her weight or seemingly clumsy body. Instead, she opted for positive thinking and focused on what she desires, which after all is an important tool and motivation needed to overcome any challenges. Even when the journey itself was challenging, Lasmar stuck to her goal, with the understanding that obstacles would always come up. The more steps she took towards her goal, the more confident she became and the easier it was for her to believe that anything she sets her mind to achieve is possible.
Over the years, Lasmar made incredible progress and in time, she achieved a laudable success. In nine years, she lost 46 pounds. That spurred her to take her interest in fitness to the next level. In 2013, she entered for the South Brazilian Bodybuilding Championship as a Wellness-Fitness Athlete. She finished in the 4th position out of 42 participants. Although she didn’t win, the experience motivated her to step up her game and decided to become a professional fitness athlete. She has participated in other competitions such as IFBB Santa Catarina Brazil and the 2015 Arnold Classic Brazil. Sue has also competed in WBFF Pro Diva Fitness modeling competitions.
Following her debut show, she became a model and was an instant hit. She also became a celebrity in her country and had her feet firmly established in the industry. Subsequently, she moved to America and lived in Miami where she continued to grow her career. Then, she moved her fame to social media.
In 2015, Sue Lasmar launched an Instagram account, aimed at spreading her passion for fitness. She has become an online sensation, with over 1 million committed followers. Sue Lasmar is eternally dedicated to her course; every day, she does something that takes her towards her goals. Lasmar works out 6 days per week, resting on Sundays except for 45 minutes of cardio she does in the morning. In all, she makes sure to maintain and develop her lean figure.
Her workout schedule includes shoulders/abs on Mondays and biceps/triceps on Tuesdays. Wednesdays are dedicated to legs/calves training while on Thursdays, she trains her back. Fridays are for her chests/abs and her hamstrings and glutes take the Saturdays.
