Suzanne Somers is a prolific American actress and singer who rose to superstardom following her wonderful performances in the television sitcoms Step by Step and Three’s Company. The amazing movie star was born Suzanne Marie Mahoney on the 16th day of October 1946. She was raised by her parents, Francis and Marion Mahoney in San Bruno, California in the United States. Her mother worked as a medical secretary while her dad served as a labourer/gardener. Suzanne has three other siblings with whom she was raised in a Catholic family. She belongs to Irish-American ethnicity while she is an American by nationality.

As a child, Suzanne graduated from Capuchino High School situated in San Bruno, California. She also went to San Francisco College for Women. While she was there, Suzanne participated in various theatre performances organized by her school and prior to her graduation; she became pregnant which led her to drop out of college. Although she got married to her baby’s dad Bruce Somers, their marriage ended after three years. After she ended her marriage with Bruce, the young and aspiring actress resorted to doing some odd jobs in order to support herself and her child.

Joining the American entertainment industry in the late ‘60s; Suzanne worked as a model and equally featured in several TV shows, as well as game shows and films.
