Tasha Smith – Bio, Age

Tasha Smith was born in Camden, New Jersey, United States, on the 28th of February 1971. Her journey as an actress began in 1994 after she was featured in the 1994 movie, Twin SittersShe was then cast in the 1997 NBC comedy series Boston Common. The same year, she starred alongside , in the comedy show, The Tom Show. Her next feature was in the year 2000, where she played the role of a drug addict in the HBO produced series The Corner.

She also made some guest appearances in the following television series; Without a TraceGirlfriends, Nip/Tuck, The Parkers before working as a supporting actress in movies like Playas Ball in 2003, The Whole Ten Yards in 2004, ATL in 2006The year 2007 marked the beginning of her diverse projects with the established actor, producer, and scriptwriter: Tyler Perry. She started off with the role of the main antagonist the romantic comedy movie titled Daddy’s Little Girl, after which she was given the role of Angela Williams in the movie Why Did I Get Married. 

In 2015, a dream she had been nursing since she ventured into acting came to reality as Tasha was able to make her debut as a director in the project Boxed In, a short film which premiered during the 19th Annual American Black Film Festival. Her next directorial effort was put into the creation of the 2017 television film titled When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakely Story which starred Lance Gross and music artiste and actress, Lil Mama. Asides acting and entertainment in general, Tasha Smith is also an entrepreneur and a businesswoman who ventured into the perfume market where she has her own perfume line she named “US.”

Family – Parents, Twin Sister

Tasha Smith was raised by her single mother Monique Smith. Monique is a drug addict who gave birth to Tasha and her only sister (identical twin) Sidra Smith when she was just fifteen years of age. For the most part of her childhood to adulthood, Tasha was always ashamed of her mother and the lifestyle she led. However, all was forgiven when Tasha got older especially when she changed from being an atheist to a Christian.

Her twin sister Sidra is a popular writer and producer popularly known for her works in movies such as A Luv Tale in 1999, Dare Devil in 2003, Free Angela in 2012 among others.

Personal Life – Husband, Kids

Tasha Smith has been drawn to bad boys for the most part of her dating life. In December 2010, she walked down the aisle with her partner, Keith Douglas who she had been in a relationship with for just over a year. More so, Keith was her former manager. Four years into their union, rumors of an impending divorce began making rounds of which in November 2014, Tasha filed for a restraining order as well as a divorce against her husband Keith on the basis of infidelity in their marriage.

Though the divorce was finalized in March 2015 on the basis that Tasha would need to share a significant part of her fortune with him, she, however, contested the verdict stating that Keith concealed major parts of his life from her before they got married. Tasha revealed to the court that Keith had been married five times, had multiple kids and was defaulting on income taxes for nearly a decade. Having confirmed most of the allegations to be the true, in December 2015, the court annulled the union on grounds of fraud. This meant that Tasha could keep most of her wealth. In terms of children, Tasha doesn’t have any biological kids of her own.
