Her Career

Thylane Blondeau has been active since 2005 up to the present. As earlier mentioned, her journey began on a hay-covered runway as a child for Jean Paul Gaultier. Three years after, she had her first photo shoot with Dani Brubaker.

At the age of 10, she appeared in adult clothing and make-up for the Vogue Paris supplement Vogue Enfants. That singular appearance which pushed her years ahead raised eyebrows on how children are increasingly not fitted into their age-related activities and exposures. That, however, helped to draw more attention to her and further enhanced her career.

Anyway, Thylane was only one out of the many child models who have posed for magazines or dressed up in a way that effaced their real age. The American actress and model Brooke Shield who rose to stardom as a child model was allowed by her mom to be photographed nude at age 10 and as an actress at the age of 12, she portrayed a child prostitute in the Louis Malle movie, Pretty Baby (1978).

Thylane Blondeau has shown that she has some knack for other arts beside modeling. She made her acting debut in Belle & Sebastian: The Adventure Continues (2015) portraying Gabriele. Beyond acting, she’s also into classical and modern dance, singing and playing the piano and drums.
