Torri Higginson Biography

Sarah Victoria “Torri” Higginson was born on December 6, 1969, in Ontario, Canada. Her parents had only two children, her and her brother Luke. Information about her early childhood and education are not the subject of public knowledge. She attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she bagged an academic education, which she then leveraged to push her acting career forward.

Unlike other actors who wait for opportunities to come to them, Torri decided to make her own destiny by starring and producing The Photographer’s Wife, a short movie which she made in collaboration with a Dutch company that sought to get more young filmmakers to explore and improve upon their craft. It was her first appearance on screen.

In 1992, she scored her first television role playing Erica in the TV series Forever Knight. She also starred in other short films including The Woman of Windsor and Family Picture. Her breakthrough moment came when she was cast to play Beth Kittridge, a beautiful scientist in the TekWar movies. She also reprised the role when it was made into a series.

Torri went on to co-star in Jungleground, a futuristic action movie.
