His parents divorced in his younger age, leading his mom to marry singer Billy Ray Cyrus who would adopt the musician and his elder sister called Brandi as his own children. A graduate of Georgetown College, Trace’s dad was born William Ray Cyrus, in Flatwoods, Kentucky, U.S., on August 25, 1961. He is a renowned actor/songwriter/singer whose hit song Achy Breaky Heart became the first single to ever triple Platinum status in Australia. Between 1992 and 2018, William, popularly known as Billy, has released 12 studio albums and 44 singles. He has a total of four biological children – , Braison Chance Cyrus, and  from his marital relationship with Tish and  from a previous relationship with Kristin Luckey, a former waitress in South Carolina.

Prior to his marriage to Trace’s mom, he previously married Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991. While their relationship lasted, Cindy and Billy wrote the songs Some Gave All and Wher’m I Gonna Live?, which were both featured on his 1992 debut album titled Some Gave All.

Braison Chance Cyrus, Trace’s other brother, who happens to be Tish’s fourth child, is an aspiring actor and model. Trace Cyrus’ relationship status shows he is not married but in a serious relationship with Taylor Lauren Sanders, an American model/Instagram sensation. The pair began documenting their romance on their respective social media pages in February 2018 and on December 7, 2018, Trace finally popped the question and Sanders said “Yes”. Trace and Taylor are currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada. They recently moved in from Los Angeles and are enjoying their best moments together.

Before the American model came into Trace’s life, he was previously engaged to actress from 2011 to 2012.
