Travis Van Winkle is a name that has been in Hollywood since the year 2002, a year when he abandoned his pursuit of a college degree in order to fulfill his lifelong passion of becoming an actor. Over the years, the actor has proven to be quite versatile with roles across different genres including drama, comedy, and horror. Travis Van Winkle – Biography

Travis Van Winkle, or TVW as he often called by fans, was born on the 4th of November 1982 in Victorville, California as the middle child to his parents Sally (née Fitzgerald) who is of Irish and Polish descent and Dutchman, Charles Van Winkle.

Winkle grew up in Victorville for just two years before his parents relocated to Oscoda, Michigan where they spent six years before another move came in 1990 to Peachtree City, Georgia. It was in Peachtree that TVW would attend McIntosh High School. After graduation, he proceeded to college but abandoned his degree to chase a career in Holywood.

Young Travis had taken a liking to show business quite early in life and by his teens, he was modeling for the fashion brand, Abercombie & Fitch. However, as of the time he abandoned college to relocate to Hollywood in 2002, Winkle had no prior experience in acting. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Travis Van Winkle just two days later began taking cold reading classes. Two years after his arrival in LA, Winkle was ready and began landing roles.

In addition to acting, Travis Van Winkle is quite committed to charitable causes and is an avid supporter of the Red Cross Organization. Winkle is a global ambassador for the non-profit buildOn, whose primary aim is to build schools in developing countries. In a bid to raise money to build three schools, Winkle hosted a 5-hour celebrity talent show titled Love Life: Livestream.

The actor is quite a religious man and is a member of the Bahá’í Faith, a religion that teaches that all religions of the world are essential and that all people are equal and thus should be united.

Travis Van Winkle began his career by acting in short films and taking up small parts in TV shows. His debut TV role came in a 2004 episode of Quintuplets followed by That’s So Raven, Malcolm in the Middle, The O.C., 7th Heaven, Veronica Mars, and Greek. His first recurring small screen role came in four 2009 episodes of 90210 where he played Jamie. Other TV shows where Winkle has made appearances in small roles include Happy Endings, Two and a Half Men, 2 Broke Girls, Raising Hope, Squad 85, among others.

While acting in several TV shows, Travis Van Winkle also appeared in a handful of direct-to-video films, including; Left in Darkness, and Asylum. His major film credits include Transformers (2007) and Friday the 13th (2009). Winkle’s other notable films include; Rites of Passage (2012), Last Call (2012), Bloodwork (2012), and the comedy film, Mantervention (2014).

While portraying the role of Danny Green in The Last Ship from 2014 to 2018, Travis Van Winkle didn’t ignore other gigs. He appeared in an episode of CBS’s action drama series Scorpion and also starred alongside Bridget Regan in the Hallmark channel original movie Christmas Getaway (2017).

Van Winkle continues to build his filmography, he booked the role of Ryan Stock in the second season of Instinct.

Meet The Wife If Married

Travis Van Winkle is not a married man, as of this writing; however, he is most likely not single. Since surfacing in the limelight, the actor has been linked with a handful of women. Among them is actress Jamie Hill whom he met on the set of the 2008 film, Asylum.

In more recent times, Winkle has been linked with half-Japanese, half-Russian/Ukrainian actress, Jessica Kemejuk. Her Russian/Ukrainian roots stem from her father hence her Ukrainian surname, Kemejuk. The actors reportedly began dating in March 2016, however, it isn’t clear if they are still together. Like Travis Van Winkle, Kemejuk is also a member of the Bahá’í Faith. She explained that finding the religion helped her find peace when she was a victim of bullying as an Asian growing up in Los Angeles. Kemejuk is known for her roles in ToY (2016), and The Neighbor (2018).
