It has been 57 years since the first James Bond film was made after being adapted for the screen from Ian Fleming’s famous spy novels, and the beloved 007 will be returning for the 25th installment in the movie franchise. The Bond films are the longest-running movie series in cinema history and the fourth highest-grossing film franchise of all time with $70.4 billion earned over nearly six decades. When Is Bond 25’s Release Date?
The production for Bond 25 has not had the smoothest run. Filming has been plagued with all kinds of issues from former director Danny Boyle leaving the set due to creative differences and the lead actor Daniel Craig sustaining an ankle injury. These issues led to the release date which was originally scheduled for October 25, 2019, being pushed forward.
With Cary Fukunaga now serving as the director for the movie and Daniel Craig fully recovered and back on set, everything seems to be going without a hitch. Bond 25 will be released to UK audiences from April 3, 2020, before reaching the United States and beyond on April 8, 2020.

Daniel Craig as James Bond
The British actor will be reprising his role as James Bond in the new Bond film, and it will be the last time he will embody this character. Craig picked up the baton passed on by the former Bond actor in Casino Royale, then went on to star in other subsequent Bond films – Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre. There was a lot of speculation that Craig would not be playing the beloved Spy in Bond 25, but it seems he decided to return for one last showdown.
Lashana Lynch as Nomi
You might recognize Lashana from her roles in films like Fast Girls, Death in Paradise, Doctors, The Silent Witness, and, Captain Marvel in which she plays Maria Rambeau. There have been some rumors that her character, Nomi will be taking the place of agent 007 following James Bond’s retirement from MI6. If this turns out to be true, it would be a monumental moment for the Bond franchise and Lashana’s career.
Christoph Waltz as Ernst Stavro Blofeld
The Oscar award-winning actor will be reprising his role as leader of the terrorist organization SPECTRE. was the villain in the last Bond film and it appears that he is still in the business of causing trouble. Some of the actor’s other iconic performances include roles in Inglorious Basterds, Big Eyes, Tulip Fever, Django Unchained, and The Zero Theorem.
Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter
‘s character is a CIA agent who is also one of Bond’s closest friends. He has played this role in some of the previous installments in the series and he will be taking on a bigger scope in Bond 25. He has also appeared in The Hunger Games, Westworld, and Broadwalk Empire.
Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny
Naomie will be returning to play Moneypenny in Bond 25. The Oscar-nominated actress has also starred in Moonlight, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, 28 Days Later, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Lea Seydoux as Madeline Swann
The character, Madeline Swann is a psychologist who kindled a romantic relationship with James Bond in Spectre, and Lea will be reprising this role in the new installment. Her other notable works include Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Inglorious Basterds, and Blue is the Warmest Colour.
Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner
