Aqib Talib is an American football corner who currently represents the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). Born on the 13th of February 1986 in Cleveland, Ohio Aqib has gained a reputation as one of the bad boys of the NFL.

Aqib Talib was born to Theodore and Donna Henry. His mom Donna later on in her life converted to Islam and imposed her new found religion on all her children by giving them Muslim names: Yaqub, Aquib, Kai, and Saran. Talib was the youngest of his siblings and the direct translation of his name Talib means “student”. Talib from a very early age witnessed the divorce of his parents and in the custody hearing, his mother got custody of Aquib.

Talib then moved to Texas with his mother to continue his education in the 8th grade. Aquib went to high school at Berkner High School in a small town called Richardson in Texas. While at school, he was a great football player. As a senior he was named the schools Defensive Back of the Year and as a hot college football prospect he was rated as a two-star in his senior year by Rivals.com and was recruited by the Kansas State.

Aquib Talib attended the Kansas State University where he played football for the Kansa Jayhawks football team from 2005 till 2007. With time and a whole lot of effort, Talib succeeded in establishing himself as one of the best defensive college players there was in the country and was recognized as a unanimous first-team All-American.

On the 6th of January 2008, Talib announced unexpectedly that he would forgo his senior season in order to enter the 2008 NFL Draft. In the 2008 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round and was the 20th overall in the annual Draft. He then went on to sign a very lucrative four-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers worth an estimated $14 million which includes an additional $8 million dollars guaranteed.

Talib has had a violent streak ever since he joined the NFL, just a month after signing his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Talib was caught in an altercation which led to a fist fight with fellow rookie Cory Boyd at the NFL rookie symposium in July 2008.

Aside from the fist fight at the symposium, Aquib was involved in a violent shooting in the early hours of June 5th, 2016. Aquib was shot on his right leg outside a very famous Dallas Strip club, after being released from the hospital, It was later discovered through series of investigation that Aquib falsified the entire report after shooting himself on the feet and lying to the police.

He continued to live on the edge and on the fringes of the law and the following year, in August he beat up a taxi driver and was arrested by the Florida police and checked into the Pinellas County Jail, charged with resisting arrest but without violence and simple battery.
