Born on June 10, 1985, of Indian ethnicity and a Canadian, Natasha Sen lived part of her childhood in India and moved around a lot as one whose stepfather was in the army. David Fizdale proposed and married his wife Natasha at the luxurious Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, California. The grand ceremony was conducted on the beach among family and friends. Big names like Dwyane Wade and his then-fiancee, Gabrielle Union, Jenine and Juwan Howard, Johanna Gomez and Steve Stowe, and Miami Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra were all spotted as some of the NBA weekend getaway guests.

On the eve of the wedding, precisely during the rehearsal dinner, guests were treated to the Indian traditional style Henna party, as well as a sandcastle and romantic bonfire night at the beach.

His coaching career began as an assistant coach serving under head coach Erik Spoelstra. He was the assistant coach for;

  • Fresno State (2002 to 2004);
  • Golden State warrior (2003 – 2004);
  • An assistant at the NBA level in Atlanta Hawks (2004- 2008);
  • An assistant with the Miami Heat (2008 – 2016).

As the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, Fizdale suffered eight consecutive losses in 2017 and got fired on November 27, 2017. According to the league source, the former Grizzlies coach was courted by the Suns and Knicks in the same month, before he chose to work on a four-year contract (2018 – 2022) with the Knicks.
