Jessica Nigri is a whole lot of things in one package; she is a promotional model, has a few credits to her name as a voice actress, and also excels as a YouTuber, fan convention interview correspondent. Above all, she is a cosplay celebrity and has been at it for a long time. While she has been cosplaying for almost a decade, her modeling career started in 2012. Nigri has also been featured on quite a number of video games like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Lollipop Chainsaw and comic book series as a spokesmodel.

Who Is Jessica Nigri?

Nigri was born in Reno, Nevada on the 5th of August 1989 to Jacqueline and Cory Nigri. She, however, grew up in her mother’s hometown – Christchurch, New Zealand. She later moved to Arizona where she attended Desert Vista High School in the Ahwatukee area of Phoenix, Arizona.

Her love for acting and cosplaying dates back to her early school days and she gave wings to her dreams in 2009 at the age of twenty.

Career

She became an internet sensation and garnered attention to herself after cosplaying the character of Sexy Pikachu at San Diego Comic-Con International back in 2009 and that was actually the launch of her career.

Two years later, she dressed up as Anya Stroud to promote Gears of War 3 for both Microsoft and GameStop. 2011 saw her emerge as the winner of the IGN’s contest after cosplaying Juliet Starling in the video game – Lollipop Chainsaw. After winning the contest, Warner Bros Games hired her as a spokesmodel and during her tenure, she promoted Kill3rCombo’s video game – ‘Elsword’ as well as ‘Grimm Fairy Tales’ (a comic book series).

She would also be named a spokesmodel for Amazing Arizona and invited to several other conventions including 2012 Anime Expo, the Anime Revolution later that same year – where she appeared dressed as Senkaku Mei (the convention mascot). Nigri also attended the 2013 AVCon, Anime South, Montreal Comiccon, and the Ottawa Pop Expo, where she appeared as a guest of honour.

In 2013, she cosplayed Vivienne Squall in the video game Killer Is Dead. Later that year, she was invited to cosplay Connor Kenway from Assassin’s Creed III after which she was hired by Ubisoft to cosplay the female version of Captain Edward Kenway video game Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag at Gamescom that year. That year also, she cosplayed Miss Monday at the PAX. The following year, Jessica Nigri cosplayed at Carbine Studios’ WildStar PAX East booth.

Nigri has also been featured on The Philip DeFranco and the Show – both on Youtube. She is also on a unique downloadable card trading card game Z.

She Is Also A Voice Actress

Aside from cosplaying, Jessica has also worked as an interviewer for several media outlets like the Comic Book Therapy, Rugged TV, and even for GameZone. She has also done commercial video ads and appeared in music videos. She has also done some voice acting too. In 2013, she began voicing the character of Cinder Fall in the animated series RWBY. She also lent her voice in Red vs. Blue and Super Sonico: The Animation.

Jessica Nigri Is A Massive Gamer

Thinking you already know enough of the gorgeous cosplayer? Surely, you don’t. The 5 ft 7 inches promotional model is also a gamer. According to her, her father introduced her to playing games and she has been playing since she was seven.

She is an active member of the cosplay group called XX Girls, and also of Kat Gunn’s professional gaming and cosplay team called Less Than 3 (LT3), sponsored by Mad Catz.

She Is Retiring Soon

Well, maybe not that soon but the beautiful promotional model says she would eventually retire from modelling, get back to school and pursue a career in the “behind the camera” aspects of advertising and marketing. With all the experiences she has gathered as a cosplayer and promotional model, she would definitely fit well into marketing and advertising and make something worthwhile out of it.

Her Relationships

Like most celebrities who love to have their personal life tucked away from the eyes of the media, Nigri is equally secretive about her relationship status but fans can’t keep wanting to know who the lucky man in her life is and we recently came across a young dud who she is possibly dating. The guy’s name is Ryan and Jessica has been sharing his pictures on her social media platform since 2015. She also referred to him as her boyfriend on several occasions. Nothing is known about Ryan.
