Zahra Schreiber is an American model and professional wrestler who was previously signed with the WWE. She made her official debut as a ring announcer at a live show in 2015 and was later assigned an official role as the manager for wrestlers such as Sami Callihan, Arik Cannon, Nick Brubaker, Donovan Danhausen, and Ruff Crossing.

Schreiber also appeared on the ring in the corner of Aria Blake’s match against Morgana. In all her time at NXT, she made several small appearances at ring matches including dressing as a skeleton to play the part of one of Adam Rose’s Rosebuds.

Biography

Zahra (zare-uh) Brittney Schreiber was born on April 18, 1988, in Charlotte, North Carolina, US. She has once disclosed that she is of Cherokee descent and her mother, Gina James was a former country singer. Schreiber attended the House of Truth Wrestling School, run by Truth Martini and Jimmy Jacobs and graduated to follow her dream career in the wrestling world. A dream that was cut short when she got fired from WWE on August 31, 2015.

Wrestling Career

Zahra Schreiber debuted with DreamWave Wrestling in 2015, but that was after her public stage appearance in LaSalle. Her first official in-ring fight with DreamWave was later announced to mark her participation at Survival of the Fittest on November 7, 2015.

Schreiber had teamed with co-wrestlers like Danhausen, Crossing, Cannon, and Brubaker in a winning effort against Darin Corbin, Marshe Rockett, Prince Mustafa Ali, Mike Hartenbower, and Waylon Beck in a ten-man elimination match.

Release from WWE NXT

Schreiber was fired on August 31, 2015, when past photographs depicting Nazi memorabilia at her home in Saginaw, shared with then-fiancee Chad Ruglig on social media, surfaced. She posted a statement on her Instagram to explain her side, saying that her interest in the Holocaust stems from people who opposed Nazism.

In her own words, she said “WWE made a decision to release me from my contract due to posts I made on social media years ago, long before I was ever employed by them”. Zahra Schreiber mentioned that working with WWE was her dream job. She accepted to take responsibility for her action and apologize to those her post may have offended.

Schreiber also made clear her stance on the controversial post saying she would like to make it very clear that she’s in no way, shape or form an anti-Semite, nor does she condone anti-Semitism. According to her, if one were to have looked deeper into her post, they would have noticed that also in the photo was Marlene Dietrich, a Polish actress who opposed Nazism and fought for the oppressed during WWII.

The budding wrestler explained that the photos and relics were nothing more than a story to her.

While it may seem like everything she had dreamt and worked for is gone, Schreiber said it does not define her life. Rather she would learn, move on and be a much better person.

Zahra Schreiber’s Relationship With Seth Rollins

Schreiber was dating before a scandal that probably set the relationship off the rock hit. The two have been dating for a year but decided to end it quietly and she moved into a new apartment.

Their relationship was perceived as controversial from the beginning and expected to fail. Rollins had a long-term girlfriend, Leighla Schultz who he cheated on with Schreiber. While might both might have gotten away with it, the scorned lover retaliated and posted a nude photo of both of them on Rollins’ Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. Neither Schreiber, Rollins, nor Schultz ever issued statements regarding the scandal. It was reported that the sexting pictures would have been a career ripper for Rollins but WWE crowned him a champion in the month afterward.

However, Zahra Schreiber wasn’t so lucky, obviously, the Nazi iconography on her social media and other alleged insolence materials were too heartbreaking to handle. While she was promptly fired, Rollins stood by her in the months that followed and it seemed like their relationship was going normal. Schreiber would occasionally share posts on social that referenced their happiness. But in the end, they split.

Before dating Rollins, Zahra Schreiber was engaged to Chad Ruhling, a singer for the metalcore band of the Fallen Dreams. The duo dated for eight years before they broke off their engagement.
