While there is no shortage of powerful and intelligent male villains in Disney, DC and Marvel movies taking on male heroes of an equal match, the same cannot be the said of female villains squaring up with female heroes on the other side of the divide. This postulation was not made looking at the number of female villains alone because if that was to be the case, we will all agree that we have got quite a good number of them to contend with their counterparts. Catwoman whose alter ego is Selina Kyle is a creation of late American comic book writers Bill Finger and Bob Kane. The character was introduced in 1940 in Batman #1 and named the Cat. She is noted for her “complex love-hate relationship” with Batman whom she is believed to have a daughter with as seen on DC Universe Infinite Crisis. Just like the General, Ursa is an enemy of Superman and like most other Kryptonian, is a good match against him in combat.

Andrea Beaumont

Andrea Beaumont is a female DC fictional supervillain character also known as Phantasm. The character was first introduced on-screen in the 1993 animated film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. After her birth, it was prophesied that Cal’syee would do a lot of evil things and for this reason, her birth name was stripped off her and she was exiled after she murdered her mother and sister.
