Jenn Lyon’s Biography

Jennifer Lyon was born in 1985 in High Point, North Carolina. Growing up, the actress attended Ferndale Middle School and High Point Central High School. She went on to attend the University of North Carolina School of Arts where she graduated from in 2003. Three days after her graduation, Jenn moved to New York, where she began making her mark in theatre, leading to her acquiring roles on Broadway. She appeared in plays like Coast Of Utopia, Noises Off, His girl Friday, Fish in the dark, The motor inn, Hold on to me Darling and Are you there Macphee?

Needing to spread her wings, Jenn and her friends – Ryan Hall, Ryan Hunter, Taige Jensen, and Maggie Toss formed a sketch comedy group called POYKPAC. Her work with POYKPAC led to her landing more roles including a role in the web comedy television series, Good Morning, Internet.

Later in 2011, Jenn appeared on Army Wives in a guest role before landing a recurring role in the FX series Justified from 2012-2013. She appeared as Mackenzie Bradford-Lopez in 2013 on the FX sitcom, Saint George. Jenn has also landed roles Louie, Phil Spector, and Suburgatory. Prior to getting her big break with Claws, she worked as a waitress on occasion to make ends meet. Additionally, Jenn Lyon was a firm believer in and often tweeted in support of his campaign.

Not much is known about Jenn Lyon’s parents except that her father – Ken Lyon, who has a B.A from the University of High Point, was formerly a pastor at First United Methodist Church, High Point. Her mother, Lydia, who was a nurse, is now also retired. Ken and Lydia Lyon are now enjoying retirement in High Point, North Carolina. Ken, however, continues to serve in various leadership roles in his community. Jenn’s father initially rejected her career path but has grown to accept his daughter’s choice.
