Born Demetria Guynes on November 11, 1962, the actress adopted the stage name ‘Demi Moore’ after her first marriage. 3 months shy of her 17th birthday, the actress met rock musician, Freddy Moore in August 1979 at the Troubadour nightclub in Los Angeles. After dating for a few months, the duo tied the knot on February 8, 1980. Also a songwriter, Demi Moore collaborated with her then-husband Freddy Moore on a number of songs. After 4 years, the marriage ended in a divorce which was finalized on August 7, 1985.
Engagement to Emilio Estevez
After the end of her first marriage, Demi Moore got together with Hollywood actor and director Emilio Estevez. The duo is said to have met in 1985 on the set of the movie St. Elmo’s Fire.
