German-American actress Jeri Ryan is well known for her stellar performance in the role of “Borg Seven of Nine” in the 90s sci-fi series Star Trek: Voyager. For her performance, Ryan received the 2001 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress on Television in addition to 3 other nominations.

Ryan also starred as a regular in the main role of Ronnie Cooke in the drama series Boston Public. Jeri Ryan Bio, Age

Jeri Ryan was born Jeri Lynn Zimmermann on February 22, 1968, in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Her father Gerhard Florian “Jerry” Zimmermann worked as an officer in the United States Army and her mother Sharon worked as a social worker. She was raised alongside one sibling, an older brother named Mark. The family moved several times, living in military bases in Kansas, Maryland, Hawaii, Georgia and Texas. They eventually settled in Paducah, Kentucky when her father retired from the military.

Jeri Ryan had her high school education at Lone Oak High and finished in 1986. She had her college education at Northwestern University, graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. Upon graduation, she moved to Los Angeles where she launched her acting career.

In 1991, Jeri Ryan marked her acting debut on an episode of the sitcom Who’s the Boss?. Throughout the 90s, she starred in several TV series including guest spots on hit series like Matlock (1993), Murder, She Wrote (1995), Melrose Place (1996) and Diagnosis: Murder (1996). She eventually landed her first main role as Juliet Stuart in the Sci-fi series Dark Skies (1997).

When Dark Skies came to an end, Ryan was promptly cast as a regular on another hit sci-fi series Star Trek: Voyager (1997-2001). Her role as “Seven of Nine” in the series proved to be her breakout role and she appeared from season 4-7. After Voyager, Ryan landed a regular spot on Boston Public (2001–2004), starring as Veronica “Ronnie” Cooke, a role specifically written for her. She also starred in guest roles in the teen drama series The O.C (2005) as well as the legal drama Boston Legal (2006).

In 2006, Jeri Ryan landed a regular role as LA County D. A. Jessica Devlin in the legal drama series Shark (2006–2008). The talented actress also had a minor role on Leverage (2009-2011) as well as guest appearances on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2009) and Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2011). Ryan also appeared in the main role of Kate Murphy in the ABC medical drama Body of Proof (2011-2013).

The duo met way back in 2003 at a chef charity event. In February 2005, the couple established the French restaurant Ortolan located in 3rd Street Los Angeles, California. The business thrived for several years, however, it was closed down in December 2010. On June 16, 2007, the longtime couple eventually tied the knot. Their wedding ceremony was held in the Loire Valley, France. The following year, the couple welcomed their daughter Gisele Lynn Eme on March 2, 2008.

Prior to Jeri Ryan’s present marriage, she was previously married to a former investment banker and GOP politician named Jack Ryan. The now estranged couple met in 1990 and a year later, they tied the knot in June 1991. On August 15, 1994, Jeri and Jack Ryan welcomed their first child, a son named Alex. However, after 8 years of marriage, things went south and the marriage broke down. Their divorce was finalized on August 27, 1999.
