Find out about that and every other thing you need to know about this popular TV series in this piece.
Everything You Need to Know About Queen of the South Season 5
1. The Plot of the TV Series
The drama series is an adaptation of La Reina Del Sur, a Spanish language Telenovela which is in turn based on Arturo Pérez-Reverte’s novel of the same title. 2. Here’s What to Expect in Queen of the South Season 5

This, therefore, means that in the upcoming Queen of the South season 5, Teresa Mendoza may be waging a war against the Russians who were described as the most ruthless SOBs to walk the earth in the 15-second trailer captioned ”No risk, No reward”, or it could be the other way round.
Teresa also made mention in the trailer, the consequences of the action she was about to take emphasizing the fact that she was not a coward. Between these and what Ben Lobato, one of the show’s Co-runners said about getting James () back in the show to play a larger, more prominent part in the upcoming season, there seems to be a lot to look forward to in the events that will unfold when the Queen returns in Season 5.
3. The TV Show’s Seasons
Since the show premiered on June 23, 2016, four seasons have been released. It also became a trend that a new season is released every June since then. As of now, the show has been renewed for Season 5 on August 29, 2019, and even though a premiere date is yet to be announced, it will most likely also premiere in June 2020.
More so, it has been revealed that the upcoming 5th season is expected to have 13 episodes like its four predecessors. A trailer of it was first released in the United Kingdom before it got to the United States. When the series does premiere, it will be aired on the original network, USA Network and probably on Netflix.
