Alona Tal is an actress, voice artist and singer of Israeli origin. She is best known to TV audiences for her recurring roles on hit TV series like Veronica Mars and Supernatural. The multitalented star also has several film credits to her name across diverse genres. Beyond her blossoming acting career, Tal is also known to be a talented singer and she had recorded a number of her own original songs before opting to concentrate on acting.

Alona Tal’s Bio, Age

Alona Tal was born on the 20th day of October 1983 in Herzliya, a city in the central coast of Israel. Her mother Ayala (née Sabat) is a legal practitioner while her father Ami Tal is an IT professional. She has Turkish-Jewish ancestry on her father’s side. Information regarding her early education is unavailable but we are in the know that she took interest in acting at an early age. However, she did not commence her acting career until she had carried out 2 years of compulsory military service as prescribed by the Israeli Defense Service Law.

Career

In 2002, Alona Tal got her first film role in the Isreali film In the Magic Castle (Original title: Pim Pam Po BeArmon HaKsamim) and the following year, she appeared in another film To Be a Star (Original title: Lihiyot Kochav). She eventually got her breakout role on the television sitcom HaPijamot (2003–04, 2006). The sitcom was based on a music band struggling to make headway in the music industry and thus, it afforded Alona Tal the opportunity to show off her musical side.

Following her success on the sitcom HaPijamot, Tal began working as a recording artist even as she continued with her budding acting career. She recorded a song with Isreali rapper Subliminal before eventually moving to the United States. She continued with her music career in the US as she got to work with international music star Wyclef Jean.

Alona Tal’s first acting role in the US was on the drama series Veronica Mars (2004-05) starring as a recurring character Meg Manning. She equally got to guest-star on several TV series including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2005), Cold Case (2006) and 7th Heaven (2006). She also portrayed a recurring character Jo Harvelle in the fantasy series Supernatural (2006-11). The talented actress was also on the main cast of the short-lived drama series Cane (2007).

After numerous guest roles, Tal got another main role on the drama series Cult (2013) which lasted for just one season. Also in 2013, she appeared in the last season of the series Burn Notice, starring as a recurring character Sonya. The following year, she landed a spot on the main cast of the web series Hand of God (2014-17) starring as Jocelyn Harris and she also starred in the Isreali drama series Hostages (2016). In 2017, the talented actress was cast as a recurring character Stella in the first season of the military series SEAL Team. After a successful debut season, SEAL Team was renewed for a second season which premiered in late 2018.

Beyond her successes on the small screen, Alona Tal has also recorded several big-screen credits since she transitioned into Hollywood. She has had roles in movies like Taking 5 (2007), Half Past Dead 2 (2007), College (2008), Undocumented (2010), Kalamity (2010), Broken City (2013) and Rescuing Madison (2014). The talented actress equally lent her voice to a role in the animated horror film Night of the Living Dead: Darkest Dawn (2015) and she also appeared in the musical comedy film Opening Night (2016).

Alona Tal also enjoys blissful family life in addition to her flourishing Hollywood career. The Isreali-born actress has been married for over a decade to American-born actor Marcos Ferraez. The duo tied the knot back in 2005 on March 3 and they have one child together. They welcomed their first child on March 7, 2017, a daughter named Charlie Ferraez.
