Anne has been married to actor and jewelry designer Adam Shulman since September 29, 2012. They began dating in November 2008, a few months after Anne had ended things with her boyfriend of four years Raffaello Follieri, an Italian real estate developer who was convicted of fraud and sentenced to 4.5 years behind bars.

Anne and Adam’s wedding was a traditional Jewish ceremony held privately in Big Sur, California with about 180 guests in attendance. Planned by Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove, Anne wore a Valentino Garavani-designed dress for her big day.

Speaking to about her romance with Shulman shortly after her engagement which happened in November 2011, Anne said that she and Shulman hit things off immediately after meeting each other but it took quite a while before they got together. She added that their relationship progressed faster after they both realized that each other was single.

About her ring, Shulman popped the question like a business tycoon that he is with a huge Kwiat Heritage-designed ring.

Anne doesn’t hesitate to gush about him at the least chance she gets.

 

When in their April 2017 Women In Washington issue, Anne spoke about many things including her marriage and motherhood — she and Shulman welcomed their first issue, a son named Jonathan Rosebanks in 2016.

Anne explained Elle that marrying Shulman had changed her ability to be in the world comfortably. Opposing what she says is the acceptive narrative of this generation that women don’t need anybody, Anne boldly admitted to how much she needs her husband saying that his “unique and specific love has changed me.”

Since welcoming her son, Anne Hathaway has become passionate about advocating for paid parental leave which she does as a UN Goodwill ambassador.

“I can’t believe we don’t already have it” Anne expressed her disappointment about the issue. Anne has decided to dedicate four years to advocating for the cause.”

After rendering her speech on International Women’s Day, Anne took to her Instagram account where she boasts over 9 million followers to post the first photo of her son showing him watching a video of her on a laptop speaking for women’s rights.

We do wish the photo was more revealing, but judging from his parent’s good genes, we’re positive that lil Johnny would grow up to be just as cute.
