Who are the BTS Members?

1. Jin

This BTS member’s full name is Kim Seok-Jin but he is popularly known as Jin. He is a tenor singer and a very skillful guitarist. Jin actually became a member of the band because his looks attracted Big Hit Entertainment who spotted him while he was walking on the street. He was studying to become an actor then but after being enlisted as a member of BTS, Jin’s musical talent, as well as dance skills, were honed. His solo single ‘Awake’ in 2016 was very successful as it was listed on the Gaon Music Chart as number 31 and on the Billboard World Digital Singles Chart, it ranked 6th.

2. Jimin

Jimin’s first appearance as a BTS member was on June 12, 2013, when the single ‘No More Dream’ was released. He is a vocalist as well as a dancer who has released solo singles like ‘Serendipity’ and ‘Lie’ in the BTS albums Wings and Love Yourself: Her. These did very well and was list among 20 Most Streamed BTS songs in the United Kingdom as compiled by Official Chart. It is also known that this talented singer released the single ‘Promise’ in 2018 which broke the record set by ‘s single ‘Duppy Freestyle’ as it was Soundcloud’s Biggest 24-Hour Debut. More so, it has been named K-pop’s most-streamed song on the streaming site.

3. V

Kim Taehyung who is popularly known by his stage name V is a talented dancer, vocalist as well as songwriter. He made his debut as a BTS member on June 13, 2013, with the single, ‘No More Dream’ which was included the album 2 Cool 4 Skool. He is credited for writing the lyrics of some BTS songs like ‘Stigma’  and a couple of others he has produced like ‘Hold Me Tight’.

4. Jungkook

Jungkook’s birth name is Jeon Jeong-Guk and he is the leader of the BTS band. He sings, dances, as well as raps for the group and most of his solo songs for the BTS group, have turned out to be very successful. Jungkook is also notable for his energy which he usually brings on stage to stir the fans.

5. Suga

Min Yoon-gi also is known as Suga or August D is a very talented member of the BTS boy band who happens to be a songwriter, rapper and producer. Jung Ho-Seok known as J-Hope is one of the vocalists in the BTS boy band who also happens to be a dancer, songwriter, and producer. He has also released his own mixtapes like Hope World which was out on March 1st, 2018 and recorded a very impressive reception. He was even named the highest-charting Korean solo artist on the Billboard 200 when the mixtape was released.

7. RM

Kim Nam-Joon who is popularly known as RM is a talented rapper, songwriter as well as producer who serves as the leader of the BTS boy band. More so, as a solo artist, RM has released several mixtapes and his mixtape ‘Mono’ released in 2018 was named the highest-charting Korean album on Billboard 200 chart. He has also worked with other artists like Warren G, Wale, Fall Out Boy, Primary, Gaeko, Lil Nas X, Gaeko MFBTY, and Krizz Kaliko.

1. The BTS 2018 album, ‘Love Yourself: Tear‘ topped the U.S chart making the group the first Korean act to hold such a position and the United States even certified the album Gold.
