She rose to fame after thrilling fans and judges on the seventh series of the British reality television music competition X-Factor. Bio And Age

Cher Lloyd was born on July 28, 1993, in Malvern Worcestershire in England which is where she was also raised. Her parents Darren and Dianne who are originally from Romania have three other children; Sophie, Rosie, and a boy Josh. Cher is the eldest of the trio. She attended The Chase School in Malvern, and also attended Dyson Perrins High School where her pursuit in art studies started and later rounded up at Stagecoach of theatre Art. She is either called Cher, Chez or Mini Cheryl.

In her younger days, Cher had nurtured her passion and flair for music and singing while entertaining her peers at any holiday camp she attends. She received mixed reactions which did not deter her one bit as she kept at it. She took things up a notch with her interest in the X-Factor show which she auditioned for but did not make it in on the first trial. She tried again the next year and was a favorite for the judges with her performance of Keri Hilson’s version of Turn My Swag On.

After putting on a good fight and was saved a few times by her teeming fans in the audience and also by the judges until she got to the final stage where she still thrilled her fans doing a duet with Will.i.am but was eventually eliminated in the fourth position when all other contestants in the finals got better votes. Even though she did not win in the first place, Cher Lloyd and nine other contestants were selected to participate in the X-Factor live Tour in 2011 which was a big boost and a leg up moving her career in the right direction.

Career 

She kicked off her career when she was signed on to Syco music after she came fourth in the seventh series of the X-factor in the grand finale. She soon began work on her solo album from which she released her debut solo title Swagger Jagger in July 2011 to critical success. The single sold over 200,000 copies in Britain peaking at number one on the UK Singles Chart. Cher Lloyd soon followed up the success with her debut solo album Sticks + Stones which she released on 4th of November the same year. By December, she signed a record deal with L.A. Reid to Epic Records.

Early in 2012, it was announced that Llyod had begun work on her second studio album. In 2013, she did a collaboration with for the song It’s All Good which was released in June. 23 May 2014 saw the release of her second studio album which had the lead single I Wish, featuring rapper T.I. She is currently working on her third studio album but has released the single Activated from it.

Husband  – Craig Monk And Daughter

It came as a shocker to many fans in 2012 when Cher announced that she was engaged to her then-boyfriend Craig Monk who was largely unknown as he was not the star or celebrity many of her fans expected her to end up with. Many were shocked anew when it was revealed that Craig was, in fact, a hairdresser. It soon became a hot topic of debate as to whether he was a hairdresser or a sailor like some others claimed.

All of the debate soon came to an end when it emerged that Cher had gone ahead to have a secret wedding with her beau on the 18th day of November 2013 while we’re still busy arguing over who exactly Craig Monk is.

Their wedding held despite the age controversies between them. Cher was graceful in an all-white strapless lace gown, a necklace and a veil with a beautiful bouquet of roses. The ceremony was said to have been the definition of simplicity with Craig wearing a suit and sporting an earring on his left ear.

Craig Horatio ‘dankboy’ Monk was born on December 12, 1990, but is better known as Craig Monk. He is of a white ethnicity and is three years older than Cher, however, their love still boils on and they seem so happy together. His union with Cher made him very popular and as such, he has since risen to fame. Craig once was into buying and selling of weed until he met Cher in a transaction which brought them closer and changed his life for good.

Their union has been fruitful producing a daughter they named Delilah-Rae in May 2018. Earlier in the year, Cher had announced her pregnancy on social media where she posted a picture of herself and her baby bump on Instagram.
