The talented and accomplished actress was born on November 18, 1986, in Edinburgh to Isobel Buchanan and her husband Jonathan Hyde. She is one of two children born to her parents. She has a sister. Her parents were well to do and famous in their own right. Her father worked as an actor, while her mother was a successful opera singer. Thanks to her parents’ ethnic backgrounds, she is of English and Scottish race. Georgia caught the show business bug from her parents when she was a young girl, and the passion was sustained as she grew older. Georgia is related to Stephen Geoffrey King, as he happens to be her grandfather.

On the education front, she attended Exeter School. Her big dream was to direct movies or television series, however, she made the switch to acting because she figured out she worked better in front of the cameras and not behind it. She began her professional acting career by starring in a live-action adaptation of Jane Eyre as Rosamund Oliver.
