Find out more about Gonzalo Higuain’s life outside the pitch as we explore his biography, family life, brother and what you probably didn’t know about his teeth, height, and weight.

Gonzalo Higuain’s Bio (Age)

El Pipita who plays as a striker for Serie A side Juventus was born on the 10th of December 1987 in Brest, France by Nancy Zacarias Higuain (mother) to Jorge Higuain (father). His father was of Basque descent and so is he. Being born in France, he had French citizenship but returned to Argentina when he was 10 months old and this makes him an Argentine national. He applied for his Argentine passport and got it in 2007 after his impressive 2006 club records got France and Argentina extending invitations to the youngster to play for them. The creative young striker then rightfully chose the side he will always trace his roots to.

Gonzalo Higuain has three brothers; two elder ones Nicolas, Federico and the younger Lautaro Higuain. He started his soccer career with his brother Federico at Club Atlético River Plate. His impressive performance at the Argentine club side for the 2004-2006 season caught the attention of Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid which came all out to secure the player for keeps. Higuain didn’t only sign with the Los Bancos side but also got into their main squad right from inception as they had blunt players in their attack and forward formation at the time.

With Real Madrid, Gonzalo Higuain played for 7 seasons, spanning from the 2006–07 season to the 2012–13 season. He made a total of 264 appearances with The Whites and found the net 121 times. In his time here, Higuain won a total of 6 trophies from the very beginning of his playing time till when he left them. The trophies include the La Liga Santander cup for 2006–07, 2007–08, 2011–12 seasons, Copa del Rey for the 2010-11 season and the Supercopa de España for 2008 and 2012 seasons.

The Argentine forward was the subject of transfer speculations after ending his contract with Real Madrid. He was highly debated to join either Arsenal or Napoli for the 2013-14 European soccer season. He would later pick up jersey number 9 for the Italian side in a 5-year contract. His first goal for the side came in his debut match in a pre-season match against Benfica of Portugal which Napoli won by 2 goals to 1. Higuain had 91 goals to show for the 146 appearances he made in all matches for the Italian side. Higuain remembers his time with the Partenopei side with their 2013-14 Coppa Italia and the 2014 Supercoppa Italiana trophies.

Gonzalo Higuain joined Juventus in the 2016-17 season and has won two Serie A trophies with them (2016–17, 2017–18) and the Coppa Italia in the same seasons. Higuain’s career has seen him win a couple of individual awards like the FIFPro World XI 4th team in 2016, Juventus MVP of the Year in 2016–17 and the 2017–18 season.

Family: Wife, Girlfriend, Brother

His family is one where football is inbred in the members. Just like their father, Higuain’s brother Frederico is also a soccer player. As earlier stated, they both started their playing career in Argentina and today he plays for Major League Soccer (MLS) side as a Columbus Crew deep-lying forward and a good one at that.

The soccer star outside the pitch enjoys quality time with his girlfriend. He has been in a relationship with Lara Wechsler since 2016 who he met while playing at Napoli. Their relationship went public in February 2016 when they were first spotted together and by August 2016, they made their affair official. Lara gave birth to their first child, a baby girl on May 21, 2018. The baby was named Alma Higuain.

However, before Lara, Gonzalo Higuain dated another lady Soledad Fandino, an Argentine model and actress who became popular for her roles in No hay 2 sin 3 and Son de Fierro. He was also rumored to have been romantically associated with a young Italian model named Antonella Fiordelisi.

Teeth, Height, Weight

The Argentine-born French citizen stands at a height of 1.84 m or 6 feet 1 inch. He weighs about 81.5 kg at this height but when you see him on the Juve jersey number 9, meandering into the opponents half of the field, he runs a lot lighter than he weighs.

Being a celebrity has a lot to do with looking your best and being the idol your fans aspire you to be. Often times, a couple of lapses exists and Higuain, unfortunately, has a lapse on his teeth. His dentition is a little bit not properly aligned just as he needs to bleach them a bit.
