The 45th president is President Donald Trump who was elected into office on November 8, 2016. Read on to know more about President Donald Trump’s age, his wife, Melania Trump and their kids in the following paragraphs.
How Old Is Donald Trump?
The United States’ president was born Donald John Trump to the family of Frederick Christ Trump, a real estate magnate in the Bronx and Mary Anne Macleod Trump, a prominent woman in their immediate society at the time. Most of Donald Trump’s early life was spent in Jamaica Estates, Queens, New York City, where he had lived after he was born at the Jamaica hospital in Queens’ borough on June 14th, 1946. He attended the Kew-Forest School from kindergarten up to his 7th grade. When he was 13, his parents registered him in a private boarding school, New York military academy.
Following Trump’s graduation, he enrolled in Fordham University when he was 18 but transferred to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania after two years. He completed his studies there and graduated with a B.Sc in Economics in 1968. After acquiring up to 4 student draft deferments while in college and a medical examination, he was deemed eligible to serve in the military by a local draft board in July 1968. However, by October of the same year, Trump was medically deferred and declared “1-Y: not eligible to serve except in the case of a national emergency” due to a bone spur that developed in his feet as mentioned during his presidential campaign in 2015. He was permanently disqualified for military service in 1972 when he was reclassified as 4-F: unfit to serve in the military.
The Trump Organization
While he was still in Wharton, Trump worked at the family business, Elizabeth Trump & Son and where he began his real estate career. According to some of his then classmates, Donald Trump was more focused on his business than he was on schoolwork.
His first major project was in 1968 following his graduation from Wharton when he revamped the Swifton Village apartments complex in Cincinnati, Ohio for his father. In 1971, Donald Trump was promoted to the position of the company president and he swiftly renamed it to, Trump Organization. The real estate business has since expanded and dabbled into other ventures in various sectors, including beauty pageantry, television shows, professional sports, education, foundations, branding and licensing. Although some were unsuccessful and resulted in bankruptcy others did very well.
Following his inauguration as President of The United States in January 2017, Donald Trump resigned all management roles in the Trump Organization and assigned his sons, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump in his place. However, he retained his financial stake in the company which makes him very much a part of the business to date.
Donald Trump’s Wives & Kids
Donald Trump has been married three times and has gone through divorce twice. He married his first wife, a model from Czech Republic, Ivana Zelníčková in 1977. The couple had three children together, namely, Donald Trump Jr, who was born on December 31, 1977, his sister Ivanka, born on October 30, 1981, and their last child together, Eric, born on January 6, 1984. The pair got divorced in 1992 because Trump had an extramarital affair with the American actress, Marla Maples.
He proceeded to marry his mistress barely a year after his wife left and they had one daughter, Tiffany, together. Tiffany was born on October 13, 1993, the same year her parents got married. However, Donald Trump and Marla got divorced in 1999 after being separated for 2 years and their daughter was raised by her mother, Marla, California.
In 1998, Trump met his current wife, Slovenian Model, Melania Knauss at a New York Fashion Week party, about a year after he had been separated from his second wife, Marla. Melania, who was born on April 26, 1970, was barely 28 years old at the time while Trump was 52. The age difference didn’t seem to deter the couple as they eventually got married in 2005 – 7 years after they met and she is currently the First Lady of the United States of America. Melania and Trump have a son, Barron William Trump who was born on March 20, 2006, making him the youngest son of President Donald Trump.
