A lot of people might not be familiar with the name Josiah Duggar, however, he is an American television personality known for his roles on Jill & Jessa Counting On, and 17 Kids and Counting. The star comes from a very famous and strict family, which contributes to his fame and popularity in the world. However, his family’s background is also responsible for his limited presence on social media. According to the Duggar family rule, the children aren’t allowed to drink, engage in premarital sex, kiss, or use social media. These rules are only lifted when the Duggar children get engaged or married, no matter how old they are in the meantime.

Josiah takes Spanish lessons, and although it is unclear whether he can speak the language fluently, he certainly has a good grasp of it. He was homeschooled like the rest of his siblings, but this doesn’t appear to have hindered his social abilities significantly or made him timid. One might expect that this curious upbringing might encourage the TV star to want to rebel in order to free himself from the tight claws of his parents, but Josiah has managed to stay free of controversy so far in his life and career.

Josiah Duggar: Bio (Age)

Josiah Duggar, the 8th child and 4th son of Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob Duggar, was born in Arkansas on August 28, 1996. Josiah’s parents are reality stars just like him and are the reason he became a TV personality in the first place. Josiah grew up to be a very smart kid and he graduated high school when he was only 16. He was also a member of the ALERT (Air Land Emergency Resource Team) program, a Christian training program that develops young men to be able to assist people in need. The organization is inspired by the Marine Corps, but it has no affiliations with the United States military. Josiah considers the time he spent in the program to be one of the most rewarding and beautiful moments of his life.

He began his TV career when he featured in the television show 14 Children and Pregnant Again, a reality TV series that followed the interesting and unusual lives of the large Duggar clan. He then went on to star in Counting On and landed small roles on a number of other shows. Away from the cameras, the star still leads a very busy life. He is training to get his pilot license as well as a real estate license. He also spends a lot of time working for his family’s auto repairs and sales business. Josiah is also actively engaged in volunteer work, some of which involves visiting nursing homes to spread the gospel.

His Siblings

Josiah Duggar has 18 siblings. As ludicrous as that sounds, it is very true. All 18 are his blood brothers and sisters born to his parents. His older brothers are named Josh Duggar, Joseph Duggar, and John David Duggar.

Is He Gay?

Although there have been some rumors that Josiah is attracted to men as a closeted gay man, these stories are believed to be false. There is no proof to support the fact that the popular TV star is a homosexual man. As evidenced by his romantic dalliances so far, Josiah is straight and has only dated women.

Josiah Duggar’s Spouse – Lauren Swanson

Josiah began dating Marjorie, his Spanish teacher’s daughter in 2015, and the relationship seemed destined to last forever before they split up in 2016. The TV personality then started a courtship with Lauren Swanson in 2017, and he popped the question in March 2018. A few months later, on the 30th of June, Josiah and Lauren tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony.

The couple tried to have a kid immediately after they got married, but unfortunately, their first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage.
