There are different ways to make it to the top in life. While some are creating a buzz through their exploits in acting, athletics, entrepreneurship, music and whatnot, others are equally making a difference as public speakers, campaign managers, advisers, real estate managers and more. Kellyanne Conway attained her own fame through politics and has held sway in the field since the Trump administration took over.

If you are a big fan of CNN or Fox News, you’ll certainly admit that Conway is a household name and of course, one of the most successful people currently having a wonderful time in the White House. But what’s more to know about her rise to political prominence and how does that affect her personal life? Here are facts we have to share with you.

Who Is Kellyanne Conway and How Did She Become Popular?

Born on January 20, 1967, Conway is an illustrious American political activist, a veteran consultant, a Republican pollster, and an accomplished businesswoman. She was born as Kellyanne Elizabeth Fitzpatrick in Atco, New Jersey, to an Italian banker mother and an Irish father who was into the trucking business. Conway was raised in a Catholic family and she had a memorable childhood as she was surrounded by her loved ones and family members except for her father John Fitzpatrick who abandoned his family when Elizabeth was young and her grandfather who lived in a separate home.

She had her high school education at St. Joseph High School, graduating in 1985. She later proceeded to Trinity College from where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1989. Afterwards, she enrolled in the renowned George Washington University Law School where she finally obtained a J.D in 1992.

Career-wise, Kellyanne has made a name for herself as the first woman to have successfully run a U.S presidential campaign and it’s all thanks to her strong work ethics which she mostly acquired from the blueberry farm in Hammonton, New Jersey, where she worked for eight summers.

Her wealth of experience in politics has taken her to different heights but her meteoric rise to prominence in 2016 is very much tied to her appointment as President Donald Trump’s campaign manager.

The appointment of Kellyanne Conway as the campaign manager of then-Republican candidate Trump wasn’t only historic; it also brought to light, the thickness of her political expertise and ended up making her one of the most influential women in the United States.

Conway And The Era of ‘Alternative Facts’

Following her political position in the White House, Kellyanne has equally been involved in a series of scandals. As one of Trump’s high-profile and ardent defenders, Kellyanne has severally been accused of defending what is largely being perceived as the president’s lies and wrongdoing using her ‘alternative facts’ mantra. Kellyanne used the term while reacting to scandals about Trump lying about issues like wiretapping and voters fraud, among others.

On voters fraud, for example, Trump twitted on November 27, 2016, about how he won the popular vote should Hillary’s “illegal votes” be subtracted. Kellyanne, while defending the President’s comments, argued that the comments aren’t actually false “because he believes it”. Her defensive comments have continued to embroil her into further controversies to such extent that the US federal watchdog is recommending her removal on the basis that she violates the US ‘Hatch Act’ that prohibits government officials from engaging in political campaign activities.

How Kellyanne’s Political Ambitions Affect Her Family

Kellyanne and her husband are among the trending people involved in the Trump administration. The political pundit married George T. Conway III, a wealthy New York conservative litigation partner at the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen and Katz.

Their wedding ceremony took place in 2001, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia. The couple has seen the birth of four lovely children – Charlotte, Vanessa, and a set of twins, George IV and Claudia,

Kellyanne and her husband may have lived together as a couple for years but it’s no secret that their political ideologies, especially as regards the Trump administration, put them at loggerheads, thereby making people wonder just how they are able to live together. George Conway is well known for publicly needling his wife on issues involving Donald Trump. While Kellyanne continuously defends her boss with her ‘alternative facts’, her husband endlessly brands Trump witless, mendacious and incompetent. Apparently, the two’s increasingly high-profile clashes have helped to make them more popular outside their profession.

Prior to the heated feud between George, his wife and Trump, George was known to publicly support his wife, especially when she was handling Trump’s presidential campaign. The two first met Trump when they got an apartment at the Trump World Tower in Manhattan and George was the first to introduce his wife to the real estate mogul who offered her a job shortly after. However, things apparently began to change between the three after the investigation into Russia’s interference in the US 2016 election heated up. In one of the heated clashes, Trump labelled the conservative lawyer George a “stone-cold LOSER” and a “husband from hell” while George labelled him as mentally unfit.

While many think Kellyanne and her husband are playing a competitive political game, the American pollster and political consultant feels she is being torn between the two important personalities in her life. Despite the issues with her husband, Kellyanne is still happily married to him and the family members reside in Alpine, New Jersey.
