Louis CK was born on the 12th of September 1967 in Washington D.C., United States of America. He is an actor, writer, director, producer and a stand-up comedian. Louis CK is the son of Mary Louise, a software engineer, and Luis Szekely; the economist.
His father and mother met at the prestigious Harvard University; where his mother was trying to complete her degree in a summer school program. CK’s parent tied the nuptial knot at St. Francis Church at Traverse City, Michigan. Louis CK has three sisters. Dr. Geza Szekely Schweiger, his paternal grandfather, was a Hungarian-Jewish surgeon whose family relocated to Mexico.
Louis CK’s mother happens to be an American with an Irish origin. She grew up on a farm in Michigan and is a graduate of Owosso High School, Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan and graduated from Ohio State University. Louise M. Davis and Alfred C. Davis were C.K.’s maternal grandparents.
Early Years
When Louis CK was a year old his family relocated to his father’s country home in Mexico. This was the same location where his father bagged a degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico before graduating from Harvard.
The first language Louis CK spoke was Spanish. It was not until after they relocated to the United States at age seven that he started learning English. He once said he had forgotten much of his Spanish. When Louis CK and his family relocated to Mexico, they returned back to the United States and settled in Boston.
