British award-winning actress Olivia Cooke has come to be known as one of the most talented young artists both in the horror and fiction genres. The gifted actress took the decision to abandon her studies to go in pursuit of a career in entertainment which she commenced with several appearances in music videos, as well as commercials.

She began acting at age eight and has since made several appearances in both movies and television series. Notable among her projects is her role as Emma Decody in Bates Motel which took off in 2013 and lasted through 2017, this particular role brought her to the spotlight. Olivia came into the world and was named Olivia Kate Cooke on the 27th of December, 1993. Born in Oldham, Greater Manchester, she also spent her formative years there along with her younger sister Eleanor. She is a British national with Caucasian ethnicity. Her mom is a sales rep called Lindsay and her dad has been identified as John Cooke – a retired police officer. Her parents’ marriage ended in divorce when Olivia Cooke was still a child and as a result, she and her sister grew up under the custody of their mom.

She was a student at Royton and Crompton Academy and later moved to Oldham Sixth Form College to study Drama but forfeited her A-levels for an appearance in Blackout. During her growing up years, the talented actress was active in gymnastics and ballet but her acting commenced when she turned 8 at Oldham Theatre Workshop – an after-school drama program in her home town. Until she was 17, her performances were only as part of an ensemble, her debut starring role came in West Side Story – Oldham Sixth Form College’s production where she played Maria. Olivia Cooke also played a leading role in Prom: The Musical, which is a remake of Cinderella for the Oldham Theatre Workshop. At age 14, she signed to her initial local talent agent in Manchester and was placed in several commercials.

She has been in a romantic relationship with actor Christopher Abbott since 2015. According to speculations, the duo met on the set of the indie movie titled Katie Says Goodbye. The plot of the movie is centered on a waitress who fell head over heels in love with the character of Abbott – an ex-convict. After the movie wrapped up, the couple was always seen hanging out together. Before her current relationship, she had a brief fling with Alex Roe but both have declined to talk about it.
