Paz Vega was born as Maria Paz Campos Trigo on the 2nd day of January 1976 and her birth took place in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. She is the daughter of Manuel Campos and his wife Paz Trigo. Her father worked as a bullfighter while her mom is a housewife. She has a younger sister named Sara Vega with whom she was raised.

Paz developed a keen interest in becoming a movie star at the age of 16 after watching Frederico Garcia Lorca’s theatre performance. As a result of this, she went on to enroll at the Centro Andaluz de Teatro theatre school. After studying acting for two years, Paz also studied journalism for another two years before she kicked off her acting career.
