The reality TV star was born on July 17th in 1957 on American soil. He grew up in Brevard, North Carolina and had the Pisgah National Forest as his stamping ground as a child. He studied at Atlantic Christian College and later furthered at Appalachian State University where he got his degree in Art Education. While in school he made a friend () who would turn out to be a close buddy and fellow Mountain Men star.

Contrary to what most people thought about Preston Roberts, his life does not revolve around the Moutain Men show. He apparently had a fulfilled career, serving in the Wilkes County School System as an educationist for 25 years. During his days in the system, Roberts was acknowledged for his dedication to service and bagged the “Teacher of the Year” title two times.

He equally worked as an instructor at some of the primitive skills gatherings and cultural events scattered across the United States. This was his way of giving back to society after being taught by some of the best the country has to offer.

Though the traditional Appalachian Mountain people are those he was mostly associated with, Roberts went all out to mingle with the Native American people whom he learned a lot from. He subsequently became a singer and contemporary traditional dancer. before his demise, he worked at Turtle Island Preserve which he helped Eustace to set up. He was among the Board of Directors and in his spare time, he made knives and went hunting and fishing.

Preston Roberts became a television personality when he was cast to appear on the reality television show Mountain Men on History channel. The show which premiered on May 31, 2012, chronicles the daily activities of a select few who have chosen to live their lives without the comfort of modern facilities. Roberts death has not stopped the camera from rolling as the show is still running on the History Channel. What Happened To Preston Roberts, How Did He Die?

Unfortunately, no current report can be given on Roberts who has gone to a place of no return. He breathed his last on July 24th, 2017, as a result of complications from a tumor on his liver that prevented oxygen and the free flow of blood. The tumor was inoperable and in three weeks, his body couldn’t carry on. Preston died in the arms of his beloved wife Kathleen DuPont McGuire with whom he enjoyed marital bliss for 42 years.
